NEGATIVE MARKING FOR SAS/RA/INCENTIVE EXAM

CAG administration has issued circular stating that from the forthcoming SAS//RA/Incentive examination onward, the system of negative marking would be introduced to 'check guess work'.

The All India Audit & Account Association is against this. As per the association, the introduction of negative marking is nothing but a disincentive for the departmental candidates and to kill even the limited prospects on career advancements available in IA&AD.  Association has expressed opposition to this introduction of negative marking and have demanded that the same may be withdrawn. Further details read Circular 25-2012 at this link http://auditflag.blogspot.in/

Calculation of Increment for Govt. Employee

First I would like to explain ‘what is increment?’

The increment is an increase in pay for each year in a particular date. As per 6th CPC the annual increment has been granted on 1st July of every year and the qualifying period for earning an increment is six months on 1st July. Therefore, if a person joins on or before 01 Jan, he will be eligible for increment on 1st Jul.

Rate of Increment: The rate of increment is 3% of the sum of the pay in the pay band and the grade pay. For example, a person is has joined in grade pay of Rs. 2800 and his pay in band is Rs. 8560/-, then his increment will be 3% of (8560+2800) = Rs.340 (rounded off).DA is also given in this increment. So the actually increase in salary in this case will be Rs. 340 + 72% of 340 = Rs. 584/-

Friends, when offer letter is received from the departments, it is accompanied by character certificate performa. This document requires signature of certain authorities. Many people face problem in getting this document signed.

Character Certificate has two places for signature. At the first place, you can take signature of any Gazetted officer like Principal of a govt school, post master, Defence Officer, Block Development officer, Medical officer of a govt hospital etc.

At second place, it is required to be attested by the First Class Executive Magistrate , DM\SDM, etc. You can get it signed by DM/SDM (Cities/towns), Tehsildar of area (for villages), Class 1 defence commissioned officer, etc.
